Mojib Rahman Atal

Founder

Mojib Rahman Atal holds a PhD in migration studies and served as a researcher for the German Institute for Development Evaluation (DEval) in Bonn and Research Fellow at the Central Institute for Area Studies at the University of Friedrich-Alexander-Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). He was involved in an interdisciplinary research project focused on studying violence in institutions. As part of his role, he conducted qualitative and quantitative research in Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden. He currently teaches migration politics at the Technical University of Nuremberg (TH N). Prior to relocating to Germany in late 2015, he served as an advisor for the German Consulate General in Mazar-e Sharif, Afghanistan. As a consultant, he has provided counsel and assistance to the Federal Foreign Ministry about the evacuation of local employees of the German government from Afghanistan. Additionally, he has worked for several local NGOs and international organizations in Afghanistan. The scope of his research includes forced migration, integration, institutional violence, state-building, and corruption.
